We have been made aware of a serious security issue affecting PHP, the technology used to run a number of Faculty and departmental web services. As a precaution, we are temporarily taking our PHP-based services offline until the necessary security updates can be applied and we are satisfied that the services can be safely restored.
This will affect a number of services, including:
We appreciate that the loss of these systems will cause disruption, but given the seriousness of the security risk we believe that temporarily taking them offline is the appropriate course of action.
